-
Initial Consultation
We understand the land, raw-material supply, business objective and expected production scale.
-
Site Assessment
The team reviews space, shade, drainage, water, access, labour and raw-material availability.
-
Plant Planning
A layout is prepared for pre-composting, beds, movement, screening, storage and packing.
-
Setup & Installation
Urvaram guides bed construction, shed planning, watering, drainage and work areas.
-
Earthworm Introduction
Suitable earthworms are introduced after the prepared material reaches the right condition.
-
Training
Partners learn raw-material management, worm care, moisture control, maturation and quality standards.
-
Production Support
Ongoing guidance and periodic review help maintain consistency.
What Urvaram provides

Understand each manufacturing stage and the conditions earthworms require.
Quality Guidance
Produce according to defined processing and acceptance standards.
Market Connection
Access potential procurement and commercial opportunities through our network.
Long-Term Support
Continue receiving technical and quality guidance beyond the initial setup.
A natural process, controlled at every stage
Every Urvaram batch moves through a structured production cycle designed to support maturity, consistency and quality. The complete cycle generally takes approximately two to three months, depending on climate, raw material and batch conditions.
-
Selection of Organic Raw Materials
Cow and buffalo manure is procured from approved dairy farms. Other approved biodegradable inputs, when used, must meet Urvaram's raw-material standards. Plastic, glass, stones, metal and unsuitable contaminants are removed.
-
Precomposting
Fresh organic material can generate heat during early decomposition. It is partially decomposed before earthworms are introduced, reducing excess heat and creating safer biological conditions.
-
Vermicomposting Using Earthworms
Prepared material is placed in protected vermicomposting beds. Earthworms and microorganisms gradually break down and transform the organic matter.
-
Controlled Moisture & Temperature
Water, shade, drainage and aeration are managed to protect the biological process. Excess water can reduce oxygen and disturb the worms; insufficient moisture can slow the process.
-
Maturation and Curing
The transformed material is allowed to stabilise until it develops a dark, crumbly, mature character and the original raw material is no longer easily recognisable.
-
Screening & Quality Inspection
Mature compost is screened and reviewed for colour, texture, moisture, maturity, cleanliness and consistency. Laboratory parameters are added once official reports are available.
-
Hygienic Packaging and Storage
Finished vermicompost is weighed, sealed, batch-marked and stored away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and water.
Biological bed-support preparation
As part of Urvaram's internal process, a controlled preparation containing measured quantities of jaggery, buttermilk and gram flour may be used to support the biological environment within the vermicomposting system.
Jaggery
Used as a readily available organic energy source in a controlled biological preparation.
Buttermilk
Contains naturally occurring cultures that may contribute to an active biological environment.
Gram Flour
Introduces additional organic nutrients into the controlled preparation.
Liquid support from a living vermicomposting system
Urvaram Vermiwash is collected through a separately managed vermiculture-based system. Water is applied in a controlled manner, allowed to move through a mature biologically active environment, collected through a designated outlet, filtered and stored in clean containers.
